Oh, Tennessee. *sigh*
For anyone who has never been to an Apple store…
I went to the Apple Store today.
The “home” button (aka the “only” button) on my iPhone hadn’t been working very well lately, so I wanted it looked at. I arrived for my appointment a little too late, thus my appointment had subsequently been skipped, but they managed to work me in 10 minutes later. The Apple dude in question verified that I had already backed up my information (which I had because I’m hip), took my phone to be diagnosed while I was free to continue browsing the store, and came back with a brand new phone already live with my mobile number. Free to go. I, however, decided to go ahead and pick up the new AppleTV on my way out, and was met on the floor by other associate armed with an iPad and a scanner/CC machine. He scanned my merch, swiped my card, frakkin emailed me my receipt, and I was on my effing way.
This is not the first… or even the second… time that I’ve had this exact experience. Complain all you want about hype and hipsters, but you simply cannot complain about the way Apple does business.
That is all.
Oh, and I have a new phone that works. Yay!
Christi, Cadence, and I took a walk along the river yesterday to check out the flooding. Pretty intense. I’ll probably post these and more on my Flickr sometime, but I wanted to post these here real quick while it was still on my mind.
